Starting Therapy
Approach
My approach prioritises careful and attentive listening. I'll ask lots of simple questions and use non-technical language. Sometimes, I will point to themes in your story, bring something you have said to your attention so we can examine it more closely, and offer observations based on what you have said. Mostly, I will be there to help you interpret your own experience. The process of therapy is one of facilitated self-reflection.
My work is informed by attachment theory, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and somatic practice. I focus on understanding the patterns that shape your experiences, both mental and embodied, and how they influence your relationships and sense of self.
I offer therapy that is inclusive, affirming, and client-centred, welcoming people of all identities and experiences. Together, we explore what feels difficult, confusing, or stuck, helping you move towards a life that feels more meaningful and connected.
I work across London and online, supporting adults, couples, and young people to overcome poor mental health, better understand themselves, have more fulfilling and meaningful relationships, and manage distress.
